Dato Dr. Veera Ramani is a well known Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist. Her Sub-Specialty interest includes Cornea and Refractive Surgery.
She has over 30 years of experience in this field and has performed more than 500 cornea transplantations. She has pioneered several cornea procedures in the management of keratoconus including collagen cross-linking procedures, insertion of intra cornea rings and lamellar keratoplasty. She has performed Refractive surgeries since 1996. The surgeries include PRK, Lasik and ReLex Smile.
Besides Cornea and Refractive surgeries, she also performs cataract surgeries which include Phacoemulsification, LenSx-Femto Cataract Surgeries and Premium IOL (intraocular lens) implantations. She is recognized internationally for her work in Cornea and Refractive Surgery. She is actively involved in training and teaching fellow Ophthalmologists.
She has presented several papers related to Cornea and Refractive surgeries, internationally.
