Dr. V. Gayatri Devi chose to subspecialties in Medical Retina as there was a dire shortage of such sub-specialists then and trained at the prestigious Oxford Eye Hospital. She is an eye surgeon who is especially attentive towards the ageing population, placing emphasis on treating Cataract, Age related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Diabetic Retinopathy/Maculopathy as well as other diseases of the retina in addition to providing holistic and comprehensive eye care. She also truly believes in giving back to society by actively participating in public education, continuous medical learning and supporting charitable drives by THONEH.
